At fish and bird market - part 2

Karolus Naga and Doni Maulistya came to Malang. Together with my neighbour Benny Nur Susanto, we went to Pasar Burung Malang on a beautiful Saturday morning.

We started with black coffee and some cigar to warm up.

Only two hours, but it was a nice experience with two maestros.

At the train station - part 2

July 2008 was a sad month. My lovely Pentax MX and Olympus E-500 were stolen. So I bought K1000 to replace the MX, and Pentax K200D to replace E-500.

Good thing from Pentax is that I can use my old lenses on K200D.
Following photos were taken with K200D + Pentax 28/2.8. Enjoy.

I think this one looks better in color than BW

Malang Old Festival / Festival Malang Kembali

Malang Old Festival (Festival Malang Kembali) is one of the event to celebrate anniversary of Malang City.
The event took place along Ijen Boulevard. For the last three years 2006 - 2008, Malang Old Festival was conducted on May.

The theme of this festival is old or traditional culture and stuffs.

Visitors of this festival are expected to wear traditional outfit like kebaya for ladies or sarong for men

But not all visitors willing to wear that kind of outfit. Some just wears jeans and t-shirt.

Maybe hudred thousands of people visit during the 3 days festival.

Traditional candy

Exhibition of Indonesian traditional martial arts or pencak silat

Even buffalo was considered as old stuffs. Maybe because it is rarely found at the city.
