Around Mecca and Madina

Some pictures around Mecca and Madina taken during my hajj pilgrimage in 2009.

At the mosque - 2

Maybe there are hundreds of mosque in every city in Indonesia. From small one which could hold 10-20 people, to big mosque that could accomodate hundreds of people. Also, there is one biggest mosque in each city, usually named Masjid Jami or Masjid Agung.

These are some snapshot of Masjid Jami in Pasuruan, about 60 km from Malang

At the mosque

In Wikipedia, mosque is a place of worship for followers of the Islamic faith. A place where moslem could have an intimate moment with Allah.

Or could shalat (pray) together with others

Every friday, there is weekly prayer. This ritual including listening to wisdom spoken by the Imam prior to shalat.


People could stay around during the hot day, enjoying wind blows


Or just daydreaming ?
